As a culture and practice based on mutual agreement and trust, BDSM requires a strong foundation of safety, reason, and mutual consent (SSC) for all activities. This guide is designed for those curious about but just starting with BDSM. Together we explore the key terms—DOM、UB etc—and provide accurate information about their meaning and practice boundaries.
【BDSM是什么?】
BDSM is an abbreviation for Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission, Sadism & Masochism, and it describes a set of human sexual behaviors or patterns. In Chinese, BDSM usually refers to practices involving regulated constraint, power exchange, sadistic and masochistic tendencies, which must be conducted safely.
BDSM includes various roles and interactions: from the domination and submission relationship (D/s), to corporal punishment play—usually carried out with mutual respect in an environment built on trust.
Dom/Sub关系
DOM (short for Dominant) represents the role of the person in charge—exerting control within a consensual power exchange framework. Their goal is to manage the scene and ensure everyone's safety and comfort.
S/M角色

Upper House BDSM: A culture-based pleasure practice, essential for all BDSM practitioners. The role of SUB (Submission) is to yield to DOM, while S/M (Sadism/Masochism) involves giving or receiving pleasure from pain or control.
SSC原则
SSC—the foundation of every healthy BDSM activity—is short for Safety, Sane, Consenting. Always check boundaries before play, communicate openly, and maintain mutual understanding to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
Remember: the core principle of BDSM is mutual respect and enjoyment. Everything else is just how you play.
Best regards,
